The true meaning of VIRGIN REMY HAIR is hair that has been cut from a single donor and has the cuticle still intact and aligned in the same direction they cut it, from root to tip. This prevents tangling and matting. Virgin hair hasn’t undergone any chemical treatment, i.e. been permed, dyed, bleached or colored in any way before. Virgin hair comes in different qualities and it is important to know that even the best of hair suppliers can sometimes come across bundles that tangles and matts, simply because every hair donor have different hair types and some have hair that is more prone to tangling. Hair and Ella offers 100% virgin hair in different ranges and only in natural dark colors. Hair can be dyed or bleached but this will shorten the lifespan of the hair.

Most hairs are usually single drawn, meaning that there are different lengths within the weft. Single drawn hair has a naturally tapered ending giving the hair thinner ends compared to the root of the bundle. Double drawn hair has equally thick hair throughout the bundle.

Yes, we do. All international orders are shipped with the reliable Swedish postal service, Postnord. Shipping cost is a flat rate of 250 swedish krona (sek) for international orders and 150 sek within Sweden.

Please note that Hair By Ella is not responsible for any duties or taxes imposed by your country and will not refund an order because of this. Customers are advised to check all information about this prior to placing an order. International shipping time is 5-14 working days depending on what country we are shipping to. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been shipped out.

Unfortunately, we do not offer this service as we do not have a salon or a showroom at the moment. We trust that we provide excellent quality and if you were to be unsatisfied for any reason you have the right to return the goods within 14 days (unused). To know if a wig fits you, please measure around your head and order a wig according to your size. We also advise you to do as much research on your own as possible to know if a wig is the best alternative for you. If you are a beginner for example it’s easier to start with a lace-closure wig rather than a lace-frontal wig.

Both of these are 100% real human hair extensions; however, raw hair has not been altered in any way. Virgin hair has been steamed processed (steam=water) to give it different textures i.e. deep wave, loose wave etc. Raw hair has not been steamed processed or chemically altered in any way and will behave just like human hair growing out of your scalp. Although raw hair tends to require more maintenance due to its nature, so that’s something to look into if you choose raw hair. Raw hair also generally lasts longer when cared for properly, it’s not uncommon that raw hair will last you 5+ years. Care instructions may vary between virgin and raw hair.

All orders pass through our system and the process starts when the payment has reached us. The normal order processing time for hair extensions and pre-made wigs is 8-10 working days. Please bear in mind that some hairs can take longer to get if they are not in-stock. We do not cater to rush orders at the time and have no possibilities to do pick- ups. All orders are sent out. No orders are shipped during holidays or weekends.

When it comes to our custom made wigs we have a 15-20 working days process to get them done. These days do not include the post office delivery, we cannot affect posting times. Make sure to order your hair in good time to avoid disappointments and do not book your hair appointment before your hair has reached you.

Yes, you can. It is 100% unprocessed hair so it can be changed to different colors and shades through bleaching and coloring. However we recommend you get a professional to do the job. Bleaching is very harsh on the hair and can leave it very dry and brittle. We do not guarantee quality if hair has been chemically altered (or in other ways) in any way as all hair react differently to chemical processes. Bleaching and coloring affects the longevity of the hair.

All hair shed but with high quality hair extensions this should be kept to a minimum. When you cut the wefts you will experience extra shedding in the cases you don’t seal your wefts. Excessive shedding can also occur when you have chemically treated the hair. We always recommend you to seal your wefts. How you brush and care for your extensions also matters in this case.

The longevity of the hair may depend on how you care for it. Hair extensions needs care to stay in good condition. Most of our virgin hair wigs last between 1 year and upwards depending on proper care and our hair extensions 4 years and upwards.  If you treat your hair extensions chemically in one way or another it will shorten the lifespan. Also the kind of brush or comb you use can affect your hair. Think about not cutting the weft if possible when getting a sew-in and seal your wefts. Shedding occurs on all hair but excessive shedding can be minimized by sealing your wefts. Lace is a product that will not last long and will need to be replaced over time. Bleaching your knots is a method that will make the lace appear more natural looking but will shorten its lifespan.
